Tafsik leads a bold, strategic lawfare campaign to defend the Jewish community across Canada, using the legal system as a powerful tool for protection and accountability.

Launched in summer 2025, in partnership with Jacqueline Lewis and a team of 36 lawyers at Lewis and Associates and collaborating firms, our work spans the entire country.

We file legal actions against schools and universities, police services and municipalities, arts and cultural institutions, media outlets, and government leaders, pressing authorities to enforce existing laws against hate and pushing institutions to adopt and uphold the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

Unlike many large established organizations, which rarely take on individual cases unless they are high profile and often lack a coordinated, long term legal strategy, Tafsik steps in for people others leave behind, prioritizing both individual victims and systemic impact, and creating real consequences for antisemitic behavior and policy.

In a short time, we have launched approximately 20 actions in Ontario and Quebec targeting schools, universities, police departments, municipal governments, and cultural institutions, and our interventions have forced police services in Toronto, Brampton, and Mississauga to make a number of arrests in antisemitic cases the police previously ignored.

Our next phase is to aggressively pursue a wave of civil cases against media outlets, political and government leaders, unions, police departments, universities, and other institutions that refuse to uphold IHRA and anti hate standards, expanding from lower risk tribunal work into high impact civil litigation that sets precedents and drives real change. To do this at scale we need a serious war chest, court fees are expensive, and legal costs can be awarded against us, so your support directly fuels the legal battles that protect our community and reshape the system.
